Surgery Scheduled (11/14/2013 Update)

I met with a surgeon and the surgery is scheduled for 12/2 (most likely in the morning). I am going for the pre-op physical on 11/19. The surgery will be four hours. I will be in UMHS hospital for 3 to 7 days depending on how well I heal / recover. I will then have about a 3 to 4 week recovery period once returning from the hospital. We are all in good spirits and have high hopes that this surgery will leave me cancer-free!
Please pray with us up to and on this date for a successful surgery and a full remission. And post this date for a successful recovery.
And as usual – THANK YOU for all your prayers and support. Please know that my family and I appreciate you tremendously. God has surrounded us with Love! And special thanks to my co-workers for their prayers and support. You all make our organization a very great place to work!
May the risen Lord be with you today and every day, overflowing your heart with Love such that you may share his message with many others along your path. And may your days be filled with countless blessings from heaven above. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Sincerely,
Philip
Phil: I’m sorry to learn that you have to undergo surgery again, and yet grateful that the doctors consider this as a way toward being cancer-free. You can be assured that I continue to pray for you every day.
Phil, I’m continuing to pray for you in this marathon. I feel led to pray for you strength and heart. Heb 12:3 Consider him who endured such opposition . . . so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. All of Hebrews 12 is such an encouragement to me!
Big-brother, I enjoyed our weekend projects, I’ll have to post a picture of your tool racks on facebook. I got to go over Katie’s last night and do a couple projects. Hope to get in another weekend with you before the surgery. I always look to your good example and positive attitude in life and especially now in the midst of this storm.
Father Solanus and all the heavens
send your strength and love to us as we travel through life. Thank you for the blessings we enjoy each day. I will see you on the 2nd. Love you!
Phil, I just learned today about this faith walk journey that you have been on for these last two years. Your faith walk has been a great testimony, so far but the best is yet to come. My prayers are going out daily for you and your family and hourly on December 7th. Rest assured that God just doesn’t hear prayers but he also answers them.
Our God can do anything but fail!
You remain in my thoughts and prayers, continually. May you continue to feel God’s peace and strength. (God’s word is an indispensible weapon… – Eph 6, TM).
