July 2016 Update

Good News2Hello Blog Readers…

I went into University of Michigan Health Systems (UMHS) yesterday for another CEA test. This was the first test in a couple of months. And I’m HAPPY to report that the CEA level continues to be stable at less than 1.0.  Translation – no evidence of disease (NED).

Yup. I’m NED status!

Thank you Jesus for this beautiful day and for this continued remission. And thank you for all my friends and family who pray for me, and with me, and celebrate this remission with me. And thank you for a beautiful summer, full of green and sun and Love!

God Bless You All!

Phil

Thank you for sharing your story! I was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2014 after an emergency room visit revealed a tumor had closed off my colon. At 44 years of age and no risk factors, this was quite a shock. In short: subtotal colectomy (March 2014), 5 FOLFOX + 7 FOLFIRI (April – September 2014), remission for a year, 12 FOLFIRI (Dec 2015 – May 2016), ovary and lymph nodes removed (June 2016), remission for a few months, Erbitux + Irinotecan (started last week, no end established). I also go to U of M. I’m disheartened that I’m fighting this again. Your story is what I needed. I praise God that he prompted you to share and for his continued healing of your body (and mine).

Theresa, I’m so sorry that you are in this position. And I pray for you this morning. That you will be convicted to continue the fight. And that you will be at peace knowing that the Lord’s plan will prevail. And that you will be showered with love from family and friends. May God Bless you this morning. Sending you Love and Light.
